Reliable sources close to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Defense have confided Daljir that in a meeting earlier this morning at the ministry, instructions were given to officers responsible for the invasion of the Awdal coast, or as the ministry calls it the officers responsible for the fulfillment of the MoU with
Muse Bihi that conveyed ownership of the Saylac and Lughaye coast to Ethiopia.
The officers were instructed, “All we await now is the approval of the MoU by the parliament in few days. As soon as it is approved, we have to be ready to move and take control of the Saylac and Lughaye coast all the way to the border, which effectively then becomes the rightful territory of Ethiopian. We will defend it as we would in any other territory of Ethiopia.”
Same sources are also telling Daljir that Ethiopian intelligence services are propagating disinformation claiming that PM Abiy Ahmed has canceled the MoU with Muse Bihi with the intent of preventing or at least minimizing public uprise against the imminent invasion of Awdal State of Somalia.
Additional instructions given to the officers included “securing Somaliland claimed territories as soon as President Muse Bihi makes the necessary request.”
The military officers were also told “not to worry about Somalia and the Somali President will not cause any trouble.”
