, former Deputy Mayor of Mogadishu and a fierce critic of President Hassan Sheikh, had an apt description for the president’s grieving by recalling earlier deaths of Somali soldiers and Somali citizens by the thousands, which he says, the President never grieved for a single one of those deadly events.
On his Facebook page, Ali Yare Ali, after coming across the second presidential condolence this time in Arabic by President Hassan Sheikh, he wrote, “Sending a condolence in Somali wasn’t enough for the president for a few Emiratis killed tonight; unfortunately, for the six thousand Somali citizens of his own people killed in Cosweyne, Jalle Siyad, Bakaaraha, Ceel-lahelay, Masagawaay, Shabeeloow, Ceel-qooxle, and numerous other deadly sites, the President was never known to send any condolence.”
