VILLA SOMALIA IGNORES THE CRIES OF THE CHILDREN OF LAASCAANOOD

As Laascaanood burns daily, as the few hospitals in the city are systematically destroyed, as more and more children are maimed daily or made homeless

Xisbiga Waddani oo heshiiska Berbera ku tilmaamey “dhaxal-wareejin dalka iyo dadka”
Musharraxiinta Puntland oo caaliqay guddigii xallinta khilaafaadka iyo ansixinta ee madaxweye Gaas magacaabay
Nabadoon Yaasiin Cabdi Samad: “Dagaalku waa Tusaale Nidaamka Barakicinta ee Galmudug Hadda Gaalkacyo ka Biloowday” (dhegayso)

As Laascaanood burns daily, as the few hospitals in the city are systematically destroyed, as more and more children are maimed daily or made homeless by Somaliland rockets and artillery shells, as more children die unattended, as elders and leaders of SSC are daily targeted for assassination or rockets explode on their rooftops, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre keep mum about the cries of the children of Laascaanood and the plight of the people of SSC.

While they neglect the very citizens they swore an oath to protect and serve, they have the guile to rise up, call a cabinet meeting, shed tears for, and nominate a committee to help Turkey earthquake victims. Yes, Turkey and Syria need every help they can get, and deservedly so, but today, the world is helping them. But what about the helpless children of Laascaanood? What about the elderly, the shrapnel wounded, and the intentionally bombarded citizens of Laascaanood with no roof over their head today, and that the world isn’t yet ready to help? What about the maimed and helpless victims that are on the receiving end of Somaliland’s daily and deadly artillery shells?

As Villa Somalia enthusiastically rises up and extends a helping hand to Turkey earthquake victims, the helpless Laascaanood victims await help and sympathy from their own government, but Villa Somalia ignores the cries of its citizens, the cries of the children of Laascaanood, and the pleas for help from SSC traditional leaders.

This is the sorry state of affairs in Somalia today. To overcome this deliberate neglect of our leaders, SOMALIA today is in desperate need of another BLUEREVOLUTION similar to that in Laascaanood, a revolution to safeguard the sanctity of the flag and the unity of Somalia; and a revolution to once again save Villa Somalia from inept and corrupt leadership!
