The body of a 15 year old Somali national identified locally as Mohamed has been found in the Swedish city of Nyköping after being reported missing on July 29th.

The young man whose full name has not been disclosed by local authorities due to being an underaged minor was found in a ditch in the city of Nyköping.

However, two days prior to Mohamed’s disappearance, another young Somali teenager was reported missing on July 27th, with fears growing that he could meet the same fate as Mohamed who disappeared on July 29th.

Swedish authorities have concerned a 14 year old Somali boy is in custody for being involved in the disappearance and death of Mohamed who was reported missing.

Furthermore, members of the Somali community in Sweden have expressed grave concerns over these latest developments. The Somali community just like other Western nations have struggled with youth crime and gangs over the years.

Sweden has the largest Somali population in Scandinavia and the second largest Somali population in Europe after the United Kingdom.
