Former Deputy Minister of Women and Family Affairs in Laascaanood talked to Daljir about the struggle for liberation, the atrocities committed in Laascaanood by Somaliland forces, and the subsequent liberation of the city.

Sahra Kiin has been at the forefront of the struggle, from fundraising, giving shelter to the displaced, to taking care of the wounded and working with local hospitals that have been hit hard by the daily Somaliland shelling of the city.

Talking to Daljir, Sahra Kiin said that “the struggle is bearing fruit, the city is liberated, and today is a pleasant and happy day in Laascaanood.”
