SOMALI MPs PRESENT TO THE PRESIDENT THEIR PROPOSAL TO GET THE COUNTRY ON WAR FOOTING AND AGAINST ETHIOPIAN AGGRESSION

As President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud
is blamed for being very real slow and not taking the necessary steps to get the country on a war footing, FGS MPs briefed the media on their proposal to the president.

The MPs proposed to the President to strengthen the foreign ministry and to table a credible national foreign policy.

They also called on President Hassan Sheikh to appoint two national committees consisting of Somalia’s former leaders and another committee of experienced military leaders, including those who participated the 1977 war with Ethiopia.

There is a growing pressure on President Hassan Sheikh to come back from unreliable foreign trips and rather build trust and unity within the Somali people. This last step most Somalis agree is the only one that will get the Somalia people ready to defend their country from Ethiopian aggression.
