Qatar condemns Al-Shabaab attack in Mogadishu

The government of Qatar has condemned a recent bombing earlier this week that killed scores of government soldiers in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

The government of Qatar has condemned a recent bombing earlier this week that killed scores of government soldiers in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

In a statement released on Thursday Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the attack and condemned the use of violence for any political means or motives.

Furthermore, the ministry expressed sympathy and solidarity with the victims and there loved ones.

This past Monday, the armed group, Al-Shabaab carried out a horrific suicide bomb that sparked condemnation from all circles within Somali society.

Al-Shabaab have been waging a 15 year long insurgency and often carry out malicious bombings striking both government and civilian targets.
